CONGO INSTITUTE RE-VISITATION

Name

CONGO INSTITUTE RE-VISITATION

Description

This project consisted of researching on Colwyn Bay's Congo Training Institute, which ran between 1891-1911, a radical idea from a radical Welshman, William Hughes. His response was to set a missionary training college at Colwyn Bay. His approach, way ahead of its day, enabled Africans to receive work training alongside their Biblical instruction and return home as self-employed evangelists.

Exhibitions  were organised in different sites, towns or cities. Exhibitions or project presentation organised in Colwyn Bay (North Wales), Bangor University (North Wales), Cardiff (South Wales), New Port (South Wales), Wrexham (North Wales), West London, North London and East London University.
